Kim Carnes - Hurricane

Kim Carnes is probably best known for her 1981 hit "Bette Davis Eyes" which spent nine weeks at number on the US singles chart. The single became the number one song of 1981 and is second only to Olivia Newton-John's "Physical" as the biggest hit of the 1980s.

"Hurricane" was released two years later in 1983 written by Carnes and Bill Cuomo. Whilst the track didn't receive the worldwide success like "Bette Davis Eyes" it's still a respectable pop rock work out featuring Carne's distinctive, raspy voice which she attributes to many hours spent singing in smoky bars and clubs.
